He got to steer the boat, turn on the engine, shift gears and drop the anchor. John taught him so much about operating the boat along the way. We contacted John on saturday with a view to charter the carnival for the monday. John and wendy went above and beyond to make this happen. It was late afternoon and no shops are really open on a sunday. They gave us a very reasonable price and also came to pick us up from across the bay. From the moment we got onboard, we fealt like family. Like we had known them for years. We started with prossecco and beers. Nothing was to much john has a whitty sense of humour and is a very charming man. While wendy has a pleathora of knowledge, as well as being a very attentive and generous host. We asked if they could show us the sights and aloud our selves to emersed in the scenery of the coast and wendy's extensive knowledge of the area. After travelling across the bay towards corfu town, we settled at an island where we swam and had lunch. The spread that was placed before us, was magnificent. How they had managed to pull that together so fast was astounding. Towards the end of the day we ambled back towards our hotel. There was no rush, no time constraints. It was just an amazingly beautiful day. I fear that it has spoiled me though as i dont think i will ever have a charter that can compare to it. John and wendy are super hosts. The carnival is magnificent and it is there home. From the moment you step onboard you are made to feel like it is your home too. I cannot thank them enough for the day they gave us.
